Current mood: awake
yo, well im here and ive slept haha. right yesterday, on the 4th... i woke up about half 4am, got up for a shower at 5, repacked and waited for the taxi, my dad was a bit teary when he saw me off at 6 which was sweet, go to the airport and did airport shiz, played in the biz lounge and waited, boarded, flew to frankfurt, got tres excited when i saw the sign for Dusseldorf, rushed to my gate, went and relaxed in the biz lounge, this time so i could see the news after Karl had told me a plane had crashed, thanks Karl. and to grab a drink cos i forgot to take any euros with me!
then i got on the plane. the boeing 747 was sweet as. the air crew would not stop feeding me i swear they were obsessed. i stole the cutest pot of cherry jam tho lol. and the cutlery was wicked. metal. etched. and tiny haha.
the plane took the weirdest route ever to get here, i flew over canada, washington and nevada. my seat rocked, i had a sleppy seat so i could lay down flat which was odd, the blanket was uber static tho. i had a tv to myself and a choice of all kinds of movies, radio stations, tv shows and shit. so i...
listened to Baby 81 by BRMC
watched Because I Said So which was hilarious
turned off Spiderman 3 cos it was shite, i didnt even see him in black, i got too bored
watched Surfs up, it was fucking wicked i cant wait for it to come out on DVD, it rules!
i listen to my iPod
played sudoku
and read 2 acts of The Crucible. which i started in Frankfurt airport.
there was a really nice lady sat next to me called Carole who i never go tot say bye to thanks to immigration or whatever, i had to refill out the forms cos i fucked up and then she scared me with my temp visa, saying if i dont sort it when i come back to the airport to go home i will never get into america again. i really hope i figure out what shes on about.
got a taxi to Karens, even tho the taxi driver had no fucking clue where he was going and had to use a map all the way. the freeway was boring. you couldnt see shit. got to Karens, met Karen lol, Mon and Keith, went to the grocery store, bought shitloads, had a quick shower then went to Drews house with Karen, Monika stayed in, i met... people lol, Patt, Drew, Courtney, Ben, Meagan aaand saw Keith again, Drews got rocks. i love it. and his home is major amazing.
i went to sleep on my 28th hour of being awake. seriously. id only had 4 hours sleep before that, was awake for 12 before that, asleep for 3 before that and up for 18 before that haha. scary. i started to loose all my senses tho last night after like 15 hours haha, balence and speech were shot, im sure people in the market thought i was drunk lol.
its 0920 now, hmm... what can i do?

yo, omg this place is amazing, yesterday Monika and I went to Griffith Park Observatory, it took a while to get there due to crap signposting but it was well worth it when we got there! i held a meteor! an actal meteor. and i weigh 25lb on the moon and i saw a seismograph and tonnes of other shit! look here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Griffith_Observatory for more info on what i saw or just wait for the pictures on facebook? but i couldnt obviously take pics of everything so... yeah. it was amazing. there was this brand new theatre, totally round where you lay down on these seats and look up at the celing whilst this lady chatters on and shows you all kinds of amazing shit about space, i was in awe all day! and then on the journey back , after seeing a star cluster thru a massive telescope on the top of the building... i saw West Coast Choppers and the garage and the restaurant Jesse James owns, we're off to the restaurant sometime this week. should be cool.
ive also got myslef quite the addiction to Jamba Juice. Mega Mango with a Daily Vitamin Shot. ROCKS. might try another flavour today if i can pursuade Amanda or Ben n_n to take me for one lol, i gott ago to target oo and buy these Hallowe'en Pjs i saw...
yay for cali, yay for sun, yay for amazingness. x
woop, monday, yesterday was amazing. Ben picked me up and took me to the Long Beach Aquarium! we had such and amazing time, they had neon fish! woop! tonnes of pics to go up, but maybe when i get home cos my batt has started to die now. i got a little dizzy and sick in the aquarium due to the high heat, lack of food and water and silly optics, but ben looked after me n_n lol. then we went for a walk to the light house and chillaxed looking at the queen mary, my skirt was misbehaving and im sure most of long beach saw, well, everything. we went to Outback, which is an aussie restaurant. i know i couldnt go to an american one could i? nope! had an ace med-rare steak which i thought was gonna make ben faint "you like red meat? wow, and youre a girl" and i drank HUCKLEBERRY LEMONADE which was gorgeous! theeeen we went down to huntington and to the end of the pier, watched HARDCORE girl surfers in tshirts and panties out at night, its where they hold the surf championships ive been told. then we went up to sunset and whilst in the car 'talking' we had some freak watching us and he called the cops so we had to skoot pretty quickly home, again got walked to my door n_n and went to bed. was supposed to be off up to LA today but Ronnie isnt playing

Current mood: contemplative
Weeeeeelllllll.... Disney was fucking brilliant, and California Adventure! woop woop. i bought loads, went on almost every thign adn had an all round brilliant time with Amanda, her Disabeld pass (shes not ACTUALLY disabled) got us the the front of everything in Disney and there were barely any queues in California Adventue. their rollercoaster rocks. and omg the Terror Tower was sooooooo ace! i got kinda scared tho lol. and the hotel im in now gives you the same feeling in the lift when it desends. argh. after Disney i had 3 in and out protein burgers lol, and then Monika and I watched van wilder and clueless, i wanted to go out cos i'd had my face painted at Disney but mon was sleepy so we didnt go anywhere, then yesterday...
Karen and Ronnie took me to Belmont Shore and i bought a cigarette case and a bracelet, which it appears, im allergic to, the hives on my arm kinda give it away damnit, im not gonna stop wearing it tho, its gorgeous, bloody copper... we had lunch and then they dropped me off at the Queen Mary and i went on a Ghost Sightings Tour, then wandered around the ship. i went to the medical quarantine quarters to see the list of the people that had died and what of. it was really cool, the first ghost on the tour was trapped between engine room doors when there had been an lock down issued due to some problem or other, no one knows if he was playing chicken or running abck for a wrench, but people claim to have seen a man asking for a wrench, and he vanishes when they help him look. he was from yorkshire! woop!, theyre are 3 little girl ghosts on the ship, one in the pool and one in boiler room 5 i think it was. and one in the banana corridor on M (?) deck. those are just aq few but theres some fuck up goings on, ive stood in the room where one woman was woken by her covers been stripped from her bed and a man standing at the end. the lady screamed and pressed the assistance alarm, the man promptly vanished, the steward that came to her aid was walking toward her room at the time and claims no one left her room, there were other things in that room too, other people have stated that lights turn on and off, taps run, windows open and things move. really creepy. people get wafts of cigar smoke from outside the Churchill suite too. our guide had a creepy experience in the pool once- she'd only taken a small group around, 3 adults, and while in there something made a falling noise at the other side of the room, as they went to investigate they heard a small child giggling, there was no child there, the guests thought it was all sound effects til the guide got really freaked out. the pool was the 1st and third class pool, really ornate, mother of pearl celing etc. the first class could have it all the time, with clean water, but when they went to dinner, it was drained, cleaned, filled with salt water and used for the 3rd class passengers, then drained, cleaned and ready for the 1st class when they had done with their meals.
i got Ben to pick me up, we went back to Mons, Mon then came home with Erin and we all went to Tsunami sushi, we all ate waaaaaaaay too much and for a change i couldnt finish my meal! scary shit! Then Mon took Erin and I to Johnnys for a drink and then home, Ben had to be up at 4am so he went after the meal.
today Amanda and I watched part of Hitchhikers guide then Karen came and got me and i checked into the Westin Hotel by the pike next to the beach (10-15 mins walk from sand !!!!!!!), im gonna be back late tonight and im fussing about the next coupla days so i checked into a hotel so i wouldnt be messing Mon and Amanda about as much as i had been, and i can get to LAX easier on Monday morning too. *sigh*
im hungry, but i dont reckon im gonna get anything b4 we head off to the CLB gig. should be a blast x

Current mood: melancholy
yknow the speed limit in the Disney parking garage was only 14 miles an hour? FOURTEEN no one knows why. v.v.v strange. anyway.
now im all weird feelings and dirty laundry cos im back. the past few days have been a blur, the flight back was cool, quick and easy and when the plane landed on manchester soil the rain wasnt half coming down. dad should be happy ive left my amercian twang in Long Beach. man i miss Long Beach, like you wouldnt believe. and that shower in The Westin. and steak, eggs and hash browns. phwoar, what a breakfast in the cafe across from 3636! *sigh*
amanda driving me to every Target in the area and for a Hallowe'en outfit was a cool time too. those hallowe'en pants and top from target rock. so does all the Hallowe'en CRAP i bought. man i bought alot. i wish i'd bought more tho...
the Aggrolites/CLB gig in Pomona was ace. i drove a car. hahahaha to the gas station for cigs. the guy just doesnt know i borrowed his car... man that was weird, at least it was stick, sadly i hit the door a few times trying to change gear, but Ronnie and Nikki think im a brilliant driver, so im obviously better in America than i am here haha. the heavens opened at that gig. and the drive back to downtown LB was scary. not cos of the weather, but cos of all the SoCalifornians driving in that weather, the people that never see rain were causing accidents, and of course the accident on the 5 that happened at that time too. thats sad. really really sad. CLB were ace that night. first time ive seen them on stage and that fucking rocked.
2 separate hours were taken up by the US post office trying to mail home stuff cos my suitcase wouldnt shut. that was funny tho. i hope i did it all right! my outfit for Hallowe'en is in there!
The Westin was so so nice, the salad on room service was aaaaaace. it made me feel better when i was feeling ill. so did my mini sleep. i watched nascar there. i now understand that the slow laps following the pick-up was so they could clear debris but it still counted as a lap, the fire from the exhausts however are still mysterious! my room was on the 15th floor so i had a pretty ace view and i could hear fire trucks all the time and see signal hill and far far beyond. the phone rang at 8am Monday morning, the day i was coming home "excuse me ma'am im confused by your breakfast order, you have selected poached eggs, bacon, and orange juice- but no bread?" me "no, im allergic to it" hangs up, 15 mins later the same lady appears at my door "ma'am are the potatoes okay with your breakfast", "yes, the potatoes will be brilliant thankyou" and they were, not as good as the ones in the porterhouse cafe tho *swoon* The Westin also had the best shower on earth, seriously. man. i want that shower.
i didnt manage to do half the things i meant to do in CA tho, like go to LA, do La Brea Tar Pits, Mullhalland etc. but i will next time. i fucking will. i saw a few of the stars on sunset tho, when i went to the Maxwell Smart gig. the place the gig was at SUCKED. but Maxwell Smart were the best band there. the other two sucked, well, the last one didnt suck, the dude voice just wasnt right for the well put together band.
but one thing i did do on my own was go to the Queen Mary. that was before i went to the hotel, when i was still at Monikas, Karen and Ronnie picked me up and we went to ... and ate lunch, i had ribs and shopped a little, i bought a bracelet and a cigarette case (to keep money in, GREAT for dollars) and then cos Karen had to go to work, they took me to the Queen Mary, and i went on a Haunted Tour, yes yes, very cool, and i saw all the places, barr one, on the ship (its big famous boat you retards) and stood in vortexes so if a big funky i might be possessed... the first ghost on the tour was down in the bowels of the ship in between 2 engine rooms, the boy had been caught between the doors when a lock down had been issused when the boat was in trouble. he'd been running back in to grab a wrench. he was found crushed between the doors. he was from yorkshire too this kid, he's been seen and has spoken alot. then there was the thumb sucking little girl in the other engine room and the vortex down in there too. the other little girl in the banana corridor, and the other in the 1st/3rd swimming pool. the pool was interesting. it was so beautiful, mother of pearl celing. ornated staircase, double diving boards and slide... little girl ghost... the guide was once showing a small group around, only 3 other adults, and the were walking thru when they heard soemthing fall over, when they went to investigate, nothing had fallen, there was nothing to fall... and walking away they heard a little girl giggle, one of the women in the tour noted how real an effect they used til the guide explained there were no effects and that she couldnt explain it, the little girl likes to play in a room off the pool, and has been seen alot in there, at the other side of the room are the changing rooms,. one girl was raped and murdered in there, and someone on the tour has reportedly had an experience of being held at the throat and when they saw her she had bruising on her throat, i put my hand into a vortex and felt pressure on my middle 2 fingers and a slight tingling. v creepy. the first class used to have the pool all the time, in fresh water and when they went for their dinner, the pool would be emptied and filled with seawater, the 3rd class could then use it, after which it would be drained, cleaned and filled with fresh water for the 1st class again! cool huh? then there was one of the rooms where a lady was sleeping, and woke to her covers been pulled off her and a man standing at the end of her bed. she screamed and pushed the button for the steward, at which point the man vanished, the steward, was walking toward her room when he heard her scream and the alarm go never saw anyone leave her room on his way, up on the same floor there was the little lost girl ghost. and in the 2nd class sitting room, 2 cleaners came in to find a lady in old fashioned clothes sitting there, the tld her she'd have to leave because they had to clean, she looked at them both, but didnt move, they started to clean and tidy and the 3rd cleaner came in and asked the other 2 what the woman was doing sitting there, they said they didnt know and she wouldnt leave, the 3rd cleaner went over to the woman and told her she would have to leave cos she wasnt allowed to be in there at that time, and if she wouldnt she would have to call security. the woman looked at them all and as the 3rd cleaner went to get help she looked back and all 3 cleaners reported the sitting woman vanishing. i went all around and looked in all the tacky shops and finally found the Isolation Ward, where listed is all the people that have died on the ship, and all the people that stowed away. it was quite cool. kinda morbid tho haha.
i have to add that ronnie is the cutest thing ever, and that nikki is a close second.
american toilets rock. they do. i miss them. especialy the automatic ones. yes yes.
england is so so cold compared to LBC.*sigh* i cant wait to go back
do you like my lovely vile floral curtains that came with the house? this is my completely gorgeous lambs leather skirt and beaded top from kookai. i LOVE them!
dad has been picking these sweetpeas for mum every day when theyve been in bloom!
two very different sky shots and the same view :)
izzy and matt helping with the garden and some of the things we found...
this little biddy baby caterpillar had 'ugly bug ball' in my head from Summer Magic!
marks and spencer stole my money today... well, i gave it them, grudgingly...

when i get paid i shall be going to Leeds again to buy a few cardigans and some boots and some more shoes (can never have enough shoes) and some bags (same) and maybe a coat...
Sunday, 22 August 2010
i spent a considerable amount of my wage today on a gorgeous lambs leather skirt and detailed top from Kookai- i cant find a picture of the top tho!
i broke my boycott of House of Fraser today (horrific service on their bottom floor of the Huddersfield store on numerous occasions) and went to their concession of Kookai.
Theyre both amazing! The boyf loves them also! i have to take back the top i got at H&M on friday tho- this one is so so so so so much nicer :D
i am so crap at remembering to blog, i am sorry! nothing much to report. infact im not sure theres anything to report...
hmmm
...
i got a new swimsuit. we're of to centreparcs in september and i plan on going on the waterslides and such. i have never ever been on one before. i am shitting bricks! also there i shall be doing archery!!! and G will teach me to ride a bike all over again (the last time i was on one was 17 or more years ago, and saying it ended in tears is an understatement. we have a photoshoot booked (corny i know but i want to see what they can do) i have a spa session booked also (to give G some time to himself to read or whathaveyou. so yeh. i have a spotty coral swimsuit :)
i framed loads of pictures and cards and such and hung them on walls and placed them on mantles and such, and the house now looks more home-like, which makes me more relaxed and for some reason, it doesnt look as cluttered now theres stuff everywhere, the clutter blends in... haha :D
i also cant get both my adult bridesmaids in the same place at the same time. and i also might have found THE wedding shoes. theyre purple and G and felicia dont like them and im wondering if theyre too low, but cos i got them at schuh they have a 365 day returns policy and i get married in 11 months so im all good or taking them back if i find others more suited, even if i leave it til after im married!
i went shopping the other day, i bought loooooads of stuff, but, in my defence, some were clothes for centreparcs, some were xmas presents (i am ORGANIZED!) and some were a leaving present for Kristiana Marie, who i shall miss like an arm. some were also little things for me... in my defence, one was a useful diary (cos i dont like my hugely expensive filofax) and some were notepads for work.
that is all. i suck. kthnxbye!
p.s. i have almost fully sorted my study! p.p.s the living room is PERFECT p.p.p.s i appear to be getting fatter p.p.p.p.s glyn has my car cos his has broken (AGAIN!) and it is PISSING it down outside, it is horrific.
Work has been hellish. My fab manager is off at another branch trying to hold them together as their manager has decided to step down for some reason. Our regional manager is coming on friday and everything that should have been done for months is now being squeezed iinto a week with a horrific delievery and no staff. BRILLIANT.
Not.
Izzy and I had a fabby trip to IKEA and I got drunk on 2 bahama mamas at TGI fridays. Then we had sushi and I bought a £85 mirror at £30 cos it was discontinued. Yay.
Now I'm gonna try put up some pics. From my BB. I apologise in advance x
i am just chatting with my lovely friend Felicia and have literally just finished watching Julie & Julia- which i LOVED, it wasnt an up and down movie, no rollercoaster ride here, but it was warm and you felt for both the women involved and it was sweet and the food looked v.yummy! i also have a pile of magazines sat on my lap to go thru before i go to bed! i keep buying them as i used to, well actually less so, but i never have the time to go thru them anymore...
my hair looks so nice when i DO it, but i can never be arsed to DO it. so it looks a bit crap. so no photos. i might do it tomorrow. i think we're going to our fave restaurant. my treat. we havent been in months.
im no further along with the wedding. not really, ive seen som jimmy choos i like but i dont think i can warrant spending the £325 on a pair of shoes just cos im getting married. like really, that could buy the cake tower no matter what we make it out of!
the boyf got all excited and wanted to watch the battlestar galactica (furthermore called BSG) season one box set i bought months before xmas that mum packed and i found a few weeks back in a box... sooo season one, disc one, episode one... "previosuly on BSG..." what? huh? this is the first, how can there be this? wtf? so we watched 2 episodes and nothing, NOTHING made any sense. why? well because they did a mini series and didnt put it in the box set, so really this is season 2 isnt it? as they already did some episodes before, that would be season 1, or season 1 part 1, and the box set i have that starts with '33' would then be season 1 part 2. nothing on it says we should have watched 'the mini series' first. nothing. its made me angry, but its coming from amazon, to work for just £4 reduced from £12.99 (i should fucking hope so for 3 fucking hours for probable shite)
i bought another Ashley Jackson print (this one unframed- the lady in the shop was very miffed i didnt want her shit frame- she had to cut the back off it) Ashley was in his gallery when i went and showed me all the originals that he still has. theyre pretty good, i either love them or im not keen, i bought this one more for the boyf, he has a love of the sea, the beach, lakes, water, i do too but he really really warms at the sight of anything to do with them. so i bought a print of Ashleys Morcambe bay, you can see the mountains behind and the sky is dark and moody as it is. so its sat wrapped in cellophane and sat on my big white painted fireplace in my lounge (the mini print of the moors is sat over the boyf's sofa with the light on the settled water up the moors)
before work today i cleaned the master bathroom, im finding i have to do 'one job' a morning now to get stuff done. else nothing ever gets done, last week one day i did the kitchen, i mean, we clean it down in between, but this was a proper, get everything off, move everything, clean everything, minimalise, throw out etc. same with the bathroom today. in both rooms the only thing i didnt do was the floors, im not good with floors.
this morning i burst into tears. the oven did it again. it winds me up. it burns and destroys my food. I CAN COOK. i can, i make great food, i made amazing things when i lived at my mum and dads. cooking on their AGA. this gas range we have? its horrific. it never lights, it takes forever to warm up, it burns everthing, its not constant. the aga was constant. i miss the aga. so i burnt my amazing american bacon. and the second set of eggs i did over cooked. its a good job le beau was there else id have dragged it out onto the street and smashed it with a hammer. i would. i despise it. he calmed me down and cooked my food for me while i then played games on facefook (intentional 'f')
my cousin Sally and i took her daughter to Eureka which is an AMAZING childrens museum. i shall post some pics of Florence having the time of her life. afterwards i droves us to a cheap shop called B&M Bargains (i only go such places with my cousin Sally- she is a bargain hunter extrordinaire!) i got some duster mitts and some tealight lanterns and hit Florence on the head with a basket (she walked into it- just the right height) and then we went to ASDA which is where the SCUM OF THE EARTH do their weekly shop. i have a 3 door car and it had its first ever baby seat in (containing Florence) so we needed a parent and child space so we could get her out. it was sunday, ASDA was heaving. we drove round and i spotted a man loading his kids into his car. score, pulled in, indicated. then the guy 2/3 cars a head did the same and he put his reversing light on. i asked Sally if i should just drive in, she said yes, i did, then there was a smash on my window and an f-ing and blinding man screaming and shouting at me for stealing his space and how he'd been waiting for 'ten fucking minutes' and what the fuck did i think i was doing? i had to get out of his fucking space now and i was a fucking bitch- he ranted for 10 entire minutes all the time with 2 year old Florence and his 7 year old son (no need for a parent and child space) watching and listening. i mean. really- what. the. fuck. Sally i think is still fuming. and its Tuesday night. shes a police officer and couldnt do anything because she was wearing Fitflops and had Florence with her. we watching him drive round 3 or 4 times. i expected to come back to my car and have numerous horrific words carved into the metal work. tosser.
why why why havent they put Grey's Anatomy on box set for season 6? why why why, ive had season 5 forever. and we're nearly finished. i cant watch it online. the boyf wont do that. he'll get tetchy. arnt they on season 7 now?
anyway. this isnt getting my pile of magazines read and its 1am on Wednesday the 5th of May, for all those that read this and are still on tuesday time- May the 4th be with you! (happy Star Wars day)
im not gonna put this in paragraphs cos i cant be bothered
-i now have the same color hair as this
which what im aspiring to have by the wedding, length, curls and color.
-we've managed to get thru all my greys anatomy box sets, we're 2 discs into the last one now. we've past whats on terrestrial tv. woop. i have no idea whats left after this. a full season? 2? it think 2.
-our bed has developed a severe squeek. so much so that we had to stop cos i was giggling my ass off at it, which made Glyn start.
-the shelf in the kitchen, which had loads of plates on, about 10 bottles of different types of oil, jugs, tupperware... collapsed. the kitchen was built on the cheap, (the insides dont match cupboard to cupboard, in either kitchen) but anyway they used cheap plastic things that hold up the shelves. they bent. they dropped. we were in the dining room and heard a crash. it took a while to work out what it was as nothing visible happened as the cupboard door was shut, nothing was broken tho. thankfully. annoyed tho.
-2 of my 3 orchids are dying. i dont know what im doing wrong. i might try special orchid food, but some of the flowers are dropping off :(
-im sick of doing washing. im sick of cooking. im sick of cleaning. im sick of looking at piles of detritus, unfinished rooms, and im sick of needing another set of drawers and 2 bookcases from ikea that we A) cant afford and B) cant fit in my car even if we put it on my credit card
-my back hurts, my neck hurts. i hurt. i have so many knots in my back, i cant wait to see my physio on thursday.
-we started watching The Informant. the boyf turned it off, it was boring, we didnt even get halfway thru
-i bought a Swarovski crystal oyster with a pearl set in it for my mum and dad for their 30th anniversary. im amazed cos mum actually loved it. dad had me get her flowers from him. so i did from my new fave florists. she liked them, yet still had a little complain. it wouldnt be her if she didnt. theyre beautiful tho. whether she whines or not.
-more and more ideas are formulating inside my head. for the wedding. not just general ideas.
-crazy weather today, it was very warm, lovely and sunny, and then we got an amazing rainstorm, so much so i set off from my house in the sun, and nearly had to pull over on the way to frannys cos i couldnt see out my windscreen
-speaking of windscreens. mine has a chip in it, the boyf and i were off to Trafford Centre (due to me seeing smoke plumes near the motorway and me wanting to find out why) and anyway, something hit my windscreen, hard, it shook the car, if whatever it was would have gone thru id now be a widow.
-smoke plumes were from horrific moorland fires in nearby halifax
-the boyf is taking me to NYC for my 26th, but it will be his 40th 2 months later, i might incorporate that into it, if i can
-all the smoke has given me a horrid cough and taken my voice, at best i rasp and talk in a hoarse spluttering manner
-ive got the boyf addicted to greys
-ive been to 2 garden centres today and bought loads of things; ceramic planters, herbs, spring plants, food, pretty beach themed things for the bedroom
-lisa and i went to ikea where i bought more things; a lamp, a desk, a shelf, a picture frame, some tupperware, a jug, a toy for my cousins baby, and... er... a chair! um... i also scouted for all the other things we need, its taken forever to get this much- when my front bedroom/my office is finished at least i can get my desk in there...
-so lots of painting has to be finished this week!
-mum has orgnised for my fridge-freezer from my old house and all my books to be delivered this week also
-i planted up some stuff from the first garden centre this morning and tomorrow i plan to finish some more!
-i have 6 loads of laundry to do. ugh, it never seems to go down, we'll have to see how much i manage tomorrow
i did. the boyf nearly wet himself laughing. i had a multiway on so it was crossed over my back and i coudlnt get the front hook undone and pulled up forgetting this and it got stuck around my head and i coudlnt get it off... in the end i had to take my shirt off and pull it over my head.
my period has finally kicked in after a 7 week delay. which was weird. i knew i wasnt pregnant (weirdly i just knew- but when i did the test to be sure it was neg). i would have loved to be pregnant, but i have no idea what the 3 week delay was tho. strange.
i need to connect my camera up to my computer and get a few photos up here. well, quite a few actually, ive been meaning to for a complete age. my shopping spree the other week? i took photos, and forgot. i might still put them all up. and wedding-y things also. i know Felicia, Georgi and James @ dayoldnews will like to see them!
tomorrow im off to a mall, tho i cant decide between Meadowhall or Trafford Centre! i need to return a sweater and pick up some save the date cards!
not much to say really, but Felicia has requested i blog... :P
er, Friday to Tuesday i was pretty much just in bed (or the bathroom) with this stomach bug (so much like salmonella!) the boyf wouldnt let me come downstairs til Monday afternoon! (apart from when Glyn took me to my parents for sunday tea- wasnt a good idea, i seemed to get motion sickness in the car) Tuesday we had a little trip to Tesco's where i kept loosing balance and was sooooo tired! Wednesday we went to dinner 'cos i had no energy to cook, three hours after we got back i spent most of my night in the bathroom... ugh! Thursday i drove to my parents and they were off to the garden centre at Shelley, so i went too (and was bought lots of things) then Friday morning, tho id had nasty tummy pains, i got dressed and walked to work! my knee is killing me also, and halfway my legs turned to jelly and i wished id driven but i got there, sat down for half an hour then started my shift- which seemed really really really f'ing long...
last night i got an early night as yet again my laptop packed up and died so i had a bath, read a bit and was in bed at half 9, i woke up at 5.30, went back to sleep and got up at half 8! Royal Mail say they tried to deliever us a parcel but we heard no knocking, banging or the doorbell, so we think they lied. now we have to go fetch the parcel from town. on Monday. fuckers. i needed them today.
well anyway, this morning we called in at the florist and i picked up from baby daffs/narcissus up for mum for mothers day seeing as i wont see her- then we went ot our wedding venue and paid our £500 deposit (!!!) we walked round the grounds of the hotel and i took a few pics. then we called in at my parents house, we played with the dogs, watched her make an egg custard and then went to my farm to get some meat from the butchers, so 2 sirloin steaks, a half dozen cumberland sausages, some dripping, a scotch egg, a cornish pasty, a steak and guinness pasty, a pork pie and a steak pie we went and called on my grandad. now were in the lounge watching live rugby on tv... im about to go and do some washing then i might go tidy the front bedroom. or make our tea... we were meant to go to a shopping mall today but my knee hurting and the boyfs ankle hurting, we cant drive much
so thats this week. erm... work tomorrow... x
p.s. its been sunny today, sunny and cold
pps. ive read so so so many books since i started my holiday 2 weeks ago, especially when ive been ill this past week.
i love my amazing friends, new and old, i love shopping, i love my fiance, and the ways he looks after me, i love my house more i do things to it, and i love how it is currently clean! i love my parents and my dogs, i miss my girls! i love sunshine, taking photos and yankee candles, and, oh so many things, im happy and warm today :)
for starters, my friend from dayoldnews has given me some wonderful wedding starting support/advice and im today off to buy some big card for moodboards so i can pin/stick all my loves to it, as i need to come up with some sort of theme...
yesterday i got a rocket up my ass following mondays cleaning and tidying, and when i got up (stupidly early if you ask me) at half eight (im on holiday grr) and started sorting the attic, which i have to say is now clear! theres Sylvainia in one corner, my art supplies in another, boardgames in a third and a few boxes of toys in a forth, but its clear! yay! first time since we've moved in, and i did all in the sliding storage cupboard up there too, as thats where most of the detritus went!
then, i started on the little room, which has wardrobes with all my clothes in, and up til now, stored all my shoes, boots and books and bags and all other kinds of flotsum and jetsam thats somehow worked its way in... anyway, i started on it, then lisa came over and helped me finish it (infact, she moved most of the stuff before i realised) so now all my books and, ahem, crap are in the room im still sleeping in due to the boyfs shoulder and his sudden horrific snoring... and all my shoes?? theyre lining the stairs to the attic, i have loads, im going to get rid of some... as i have (including sandals/boots etc) over 40 pairs. all my sandals are in drawers in my wardrobe, my boots are sat infront of them... just so many! and 85% i cant wear in this weather, which sucks... too cold damnit!
after that we went to my dentist, lisa signed up and i had my teeth cleaned, then talking to my hygenist, she said she'd just add us on herself this aft and jump the queue for us! whoop! so lisa and the boyf will soon have ace dentists!
then... lisa and i headed off shopping to THE TRAFFORD CENTRE, which rocks, and we did a 'bit' of shopping, i ate sushi first, then i bought a keyring, 4 amazing keepsake photo boxes, theyre like, a thick photoframe that you can pin things inside, like scraps of material, or like, a lock of hair, or a starfish or something, yknow, for holidays or babies or whatever, im well excited, and i got money off! then lisa bought a Denon stereo- well chuffed with that (i love my Denon stereo), she amusingly made the guy play Roots Radicals off my iPod really loud to try out a soundsystem! haha, he looked so uncomfortable!
i bought american magazines, a book on Canada (to go with my USA and New Zealand guides so we can choose a bloody honeymoon!) i bought 2 sweaters in French Connection (cos i dont have enough 'nice' clothes) and many many pairs of socks (6 in The Gap and i think 12 in Topshop) and i also got another 'nice' top in topshop and... in Selfridges at the Cath Kitson consession i got a new hangbag, which is green and spotty and marvelous and some earrings with butterflys on and some tote bags (as if i dont actually have enough), then i came home and had lemon marmalade on bread which is my fave snack atm... mmm
oooh, i didnt tell you did i? there was also candy floss, a bag of- from the popcorn vendor outside french connection... lisa and i fair devoured that... mmm
last night we went to bed at 10pm, and i couldnt get to sleep, so i read. alot. i finished my Jasper Fforde book, something rotten, then still couldnt sleep. so i came down to play on the computer, felt tired, went to bed, fell asleep but not right away, it was after 3 by the time i went out. woke today at ten. knackered now!
said today we could go to Manchester, but only if we went on the train, which the boyf is claiming is too expensive but im saying will be cheaper then parking, and tbh my chest hurts (will come to that) and i dont want to drive, especially now im tired!
so yeah, my chest, it so needs cracking, its killing me! you know when you need to crack a finger, or your neck or a shoulder or something? same thing but its like, the butterfly's body part of my breastbone, and its been getting worse for days, it hurts so bad, it even itches, wtf if you please.
the new manager at work is ruffling some feathers and im sure everyone is going to jump ship soon! shes the area managers pet and seems to be upsetting everyone, shes out of the office for less than 5% of the day, which sucks, how are you supposed to know what your shop is doing?
i need so spend less time with the boyf, i can see myself annoying him and yet i cant stop, i just want to be near him all the time, which i know is bad, he needs his breathing space and so do i, but its all just getting on top of me. the wedding is doing my head in cos no one will help me look at venues, everyone just says that its too soon (but dont you have to book, like, 2 years in advance to get somewhere nice?) and my mum especially wont even come look at dresses with me, she says its too soon (she wants me to get married in the same church she did and have the reception on the lawn at their house down the road whereas we're both athiests and dont want to!) we wrote out a guestlist and i think the maximum for, well, even the evening do is 70, the actual wedding, 55?
ok last night, the microwave started making some DODGY noises, when i has 3 baked potatoes to go! the rest of tea was ready, as each potato went on it made more noises, slowed right down and everything was coming out either scorching or undercooked, soooo today when taking an 'oak effect' shelf back to b&q (didnt look owt like our oak dresser or table set) we called into comet, which is next door (well, across the car park, meaning to just grab a cheap microwave and be off...
damn fucking sparkly things. you know im addicted. i am. im sorry. i cant help it.
the cameras looked all sparkly and i wandered over as my cybershot is dying (doesnt always turn on, turns off when you try take a pic, and the flash wont work anymore) and i fell in love with the daddy of the one i have, the granddaddy was too expensive and wouldnt fit in my bag, tho this one was about half my months wage! *cries a little*, the smelly shop assistant gave me 20% off the memory card (best they could do apparently and they shouldnt have done that according to the weirdo)... i wandered over to the microwaves while i pondered the camera (the smelly weirdo assistant followed me- i couldnt shake him off) and omg to say you can 'pick up a cheap microwave now' is true, but the one we got was in my mind, still too much money, but the panasonic ones were the only ones that didnt look like you'd need to be a rocket scientist to figure out that the fuck to do to put it in for a minute. why does a microwave need a button that says 'porridge'??? HOW LAZY ARE PEOPLE? i know i say that and microwaves are really for lazy people. i use ours for instant rice (yes lazy), baked potatoes (i prefer them) and hot blackcurrant and lemonade (you cant make it any other way) i really dont use it for anything else! so spending £100 on one today shook me. tho, wow, i now have a 900! i didnt even know that made them that powerful, i was still in awe that i had an 800, i mean they still make 750's... anyway *yawn* microwaves are boring... and im off to make a hot blackcurrant and lemonade :D anyway smelly assistant haunted me the entire day and got alot of my money :(
next up to go- i'll put money on mum and dads old tv and vcr- the tv doesnt always turn on anyway, everything else electronic we brought to the house is fairly new! however, the oven, house alarm, fire alarm, showers, boiler... all could go!

yesterday was not as fun day as i said, getting stock out was hard, managed to filter it into kids/fiction boxes tho and get alot of boxes out onto tables, the stuff that was on offer, but boy did we struggle (i had hafsah too) thank god im not in today.
am going to go try paint some pottery again :D this time with izzy, we have a busy day planned :D as its leeds after
i got a fantastic vest to sleep in at Trafford, did i tell you? its a David&Goliath one. it says SPOONING LEADS TO FORKING and i love it. it has a fork and a spoon, all loved up on the front and scarily, its bright yellow and it suits me... my fun tshirt from topshop has three donuts on the front, discussing stuff, the ring donut claims that hes 'searching for his inner self' the finger donut says 'its whats on the inside that counts' and the jam donut, poor guy, exclaims 'this could get sticky'
