On Sunday it was dinner at my parents. The hubby had work to do and refused.
I was 5 days post op for my surgery.
i had to go. i had to go say bye to Pepper.
19(?) year old Pepper. Lovely, sweet Pepper, that chewed and chewed and destroyed and ate our kitchen furniture (all three chairs and the table legs and corners...), my trainers, my brand new Oasis hat, till she was, oh, 7? 8?
We thought she would never 'calm down' and stop being a puppy.
And today, my parents took her to the vet to be put to sleep.
For 2 years we've watched her decline, drop weight, eat less, ignore us through deafness.
I'm sure in the past year she's had no clue who i am, she's run away and hid from me on my frequent visits, shook when she saw me.
Mum was hoping she'd go on her own, just fall asleep and never wake up...
But she didnt. She's too stubborn for that -but she could hardly stand, barely walk, she could barely even see, yet she just kept going.
This past 6 or 8 weeks its just gotten too much, doing her business inside the house, instead of out, falling over more, i think she's fallen into her food 2 or 3 times, so i've been told by mum.
It isn't fair.
It isn't fair to keep her going, and it isn't fair we had to put her down, either way, it isn't fair.
I'm crying now and its hard to see the keys, but i know. I know it's for the best. She can't suffer any more, and that's okay. It's not okay, but it's okay.
RIP Sgt. Pepperoni Pepsi Max, love you, go play with Lady and Floss x x

Doggle montage
Tess is the most photogenic, Casa never keeps still and Pepper is so sick she now won't come near me much, as she has no idea who I am...

:(
last night we went to bed at 10pm, and i couldnt get to sleep, so i read. alot. i finished my Jasper Fforde book, something rotten, then still couldnt sleep. so i came down to play on the computer, felt tired, went to bed, fell asleep but not right away, it was after 3 by the time i went out. woke today at ten. knackered now!
said today we could go to Manchester, but only if we went on the train, which the boyf is claiming is too expensive but im saying will be cheaper then parking, and tbh my chest hurts (will come to that) and i dont want to drive, especially now im tired!
so yeah, my chest, it so needs cracking, its killing me! you know when you need to crack a finger, or your neck or a shoulder or something? same thing but its like, the butterfly's body part of my breastbone, and its been getting worse for days, it hurts so bad, it even itches, wtf if you please.
the new manager at work is ruffling some feathers and im sure everyone is going to jump ship soon! shes the area managers pet and seems to be upsetting everyone, shes out of the office for less than 5% of the day, which sucks, how are you supposed to know what your shop is doing?
i need so spend less time with the boyf, i can see myself annoying him and yet i cant stop, i just want to be near him all the time, which i know is bad, he needs his breathing space and so do i, but its all just getting on top of me. the wedding is doing my head in cos no one will help me look at venues, everyone just says that its too soon (but dont you have to book, like, 2 years in advance to get somewhere nice?) and my mum especially wont even come look at dresses with me, she says its too soon (she wants me to get married in the same church she did and have the reception on the lawn at their house down the road whereas we're both athiests and dont want to!) we wrote out a guestlist and i think the maximum for, well, even the evening do is 70, the actual wedding, 55?
and i really really miss my dogs :(

catch up
Yes, i am shit at keeping a blog, i know this.
But lots has occurred since my last post... so here goes!
Firstly ITS SNOWING! but we'll come back to that...
Boyf and i went away for a few days!
The hotel was amazing, the bath was huge and we could both fit in easily together, which was amusing as he's well over 6 foot tall and i didn't think he would fit! The toilet was creepily also in the room, it was surrounded by mirrors and you could see the head of the bed when you were having a slash! So he and i now have no qualms about anything! He was a lovely Boyf the entire time tho, he offered to drive when i was tired, he ran me baths numerous times a day and went to the restaurant to book us a table while i lazed on the bed, just plain tired.
It was wet on the way to Otterburn and i was tired, we ate in the hotel and it cos as much for food as it did for the room for a night! The next day we went to the battle site, Kielder Forest and accidentally went to Scotland, yes i know, we're so retarded tho, we didn't notice the great big border line on the map and were both terribly confused on out way to Jedburgh that it was 'one mile to the Scottish border' Jedburgh was tres boring, the abbey was cool, but after that there was nothing, everything was shut, Mary Queen of Scots house wasn't open, nor was the jail and museum we walked a mile up a hill to get to, no shops were open and no people were in the streets, ON A SATURDAY. i texted my mate K to say "I'm in Scotland", cos, well, she's Scottish and i was mightily surprised to get the reply "snap, where are you" as i expected her to be at work, in Huddersfield, where we live... anyway she was 50 miles away in Edi, so Boyf and i had a pub lunch and headed back. Kielder forest was also shut, all you could do was drive around it. that night we went to the first and last for another pub meal, which was a few miles back up towards Scotland. next day the weather was forecasting snow, we set off for Clapham, North Yorkshire, and saw some amazing views on the way, stopped at High Force waterfall and surprisingly made it to Clapham before dark, passed some time in bed, and then had dinner. woke up to half a foot of snow! somehow made it home before Hudds had a foot and a half dropped on it from the heavens, Boyf was stranded at mine and we had to go into work late the next day! its still mental, i should be at work now but the weather was so bad this morning i called in, the main road by my house had standing traffic on it, it was mental. the town center was a right mess from the sound of it also!
In other news i have another second cousin on the way and one just been born on the second! Arthur Paul Hirst has been welcomed into the world! and Cerys is getting a baby bother or sister! its ok her having cousin Florence to play with but i don't think Cerys will like the attention taken from her for a baby brother or sister!
And i feel like crap. I've had an allergic reaction to something, whilst in Clapham, my lips swelled up (they're still not normal) and my throat killed, now, my throat is just killing and swollen, i have NO idea whats going on, whether its the feather beds at Otterburn Hall (but that wouldn't affect me so late surely?) or the cats at Clapham (still) or some food (Boyf reckons the Chili on my lime tuna in Clapham) or WHAT, I'm really confused!
I have also just ordered 3 more DS games. I'm addicted. i have 2 puppy's on Nintendogs, a Dalmatian called Anabel and a Yorkshire Terrier called Max (the irony, he will never be max anything!)
Speaking of dogs, the thing i was gonna write about!!!
I went out into our rather large garden with my dad and 2 of our 3 dogs, Casa (prim and proper) and Tess (mental little thing in snow), and i asked dad about snow angels (i've never made one) and he said he made them as a kid, obvs, but then its less to fall... so i was stood there, legs apart wanting to fall back but couldn't til dad said "well go on then" seriously, what do i have a 'take a dare' factor or what? anyway i hit the snow with a 'ppft' noise and Tess sped over to me faster than a bullet to attack me, i was, of course at her level and she wanted to greet me and play! Casa ran at a less of a speed but jumped onto me, and settled on my stomach (no snow under her now!), she also wouldn't move till day called them to go in for the second time...
