i've been in the garden...

... and dug up 5 archemilla-mollis! and a tree, i don't know what the tree was but it had been cut back and was a foot high bunch of root and sticks and i thought i may as well get it out when i was there... we're redoing that end of the garden when i have our garage replaced so anything i hate can quite happily go! i have another few archemilla-mollis to remove and a dead mahonia

if you dont know what an archemilla-mollis looks like--- its this innocent little looking thing that breeds like wildfire...

our mahonia should look like this... but is this in dead as it was cut back and we got a random frost that killed it

i cut my hedge. with shears. snip snip. all of it. Debbie from 2 doors along came over and asked if i was 'seriously' going to do it all by hand. i did. when i got to the other side, right to the end, someone from 4 doors along came down and asked if i would like to borrow his electric clippers... i asked the boyf if he wanted to do it and he lost some of his sulk and cut back the hedge even more (i liked it fluffy, it is now a box) preluding all this the boyf got in a mood with me because i wanted to do it by hand... and he wanted to do it by electric. we dont own electric. i told him if he wanted to, he could go buy one. he said he didnt have the money for such a thing. he said he couldnt understand why i kept rubbing that in. i said i couldnt understand why it couldnt be done by hand.

oh well. its done now and the man 4 doors up says we can borrow the clippers whenever we need to :)

lots and lots of things

-i set fire to popcorn in the microwave at work

-all the smoke has given me a horrid cough and taken my voice, at best i rasp and talk in a hoarse spluttering manner

-ive got the boyf addicted to greys

-ive been to 2 garden centres today and bought loads of things; ceramic planters, herbs, spring plants, food, pretty beach themed things for the bedroom

-lisa and i went to ikea where i bought more things; a lamp, a desk, a shelf, a picture frame, some tupperware, a jug, a toy for my cousins baby, and... er... a chair! um... i also scouted for all the other things we need, its taken forever to get this much- when my front bedroom/my office is finished at least i can get my desk in there...

-so lots of painting has to be finished this week!

-mum has orgnised for my fridge-freezer from my old house and all my books to be delivered this week also

-i planted up some stuff from the first garden centre this morning and tomorrow i plan to finish some more!

-i have 6 loads of laundry to do. ugh, it never seems to go down, we'll have to see how much i manage tomorrow

-im getting used to my Blackberry

Hausfrau

this moving milarkey isnt all its cracked up to be, i'm moving into a house with 4 storeys, everytime i take a step now my legs want to buckle beneath me ive gone up and down them so many times, i have new muscles in my arms and im physically and mentally shattered. the entire of the bottom floor has been taken over by white goods and glyns books, the rest of the house has been infiltrated by a small percentage of my stuff. and boy to i have alot of stuff, my dads got a massive car, and mines pretty roomey if you stack stuff right and all in all we've done at least 10 car journeys. and i STILL have alot of stuff @netherfield. *sigh* and mums moving everything she can. she was noseying around my room when i was at work the other day to see whatelse she could move. its getting beyond a joke, i want to move but id be happier to be moving at my own pace, not, as per usual, hers. ugh.

finally tho its starting to feel a bit more like ours (for the past week and a bit its felt more like a holiday house), we have a bed, a 2 seater sofa and a giant poof, all the kitchen stuff and my crap littered about, and ive put all my halloween decor up around fireplace in the room we spend most of our time in, the diner-kitchen.

franny came over the other night and i made new potato chips and pizzas and we set up all my sylvanian families stuff in the attic (right in the middle of the floor so nothing else can now go up there without fear of standing on a woodland creature :D )

speaking of woodland creatures. we have a squirrel, quite a devious litte bitch it is too. we can put out an entire case of nuts and there'd be none left in an hour. the garden is overflowing and mum has said shes coming to hack it all to death. i have no choice in this. the underfloor heating wont work in the kitchen, nor will the shower in the attic bathroom, and the previous owners still have a set of keys. bastards.
